What We're All About

Our society extends a warm welcome to all those interested in any aspect of astronomy at any age and at any level. If you have a telescope or binoculars that don't seem to work as you think they should, the "instructions" seem unfathomable or you simply need some advice on your scope, bring it along and we'll see what we can do to assist you. We can also offer advice about getting a telescope, so please ask colleagues at our meetings or contact us by email. Please check back regularly to find out about the latest meetings, observing sessions, and events such as star parties exhibitions etc.

Mission Statement

Newtown Astronomy Society aims to provide a friendly and welcoming group for all those with a common interest in space and astronomy.

To encourage and support that interest, enabling all to be inspired and motivated to develop their knowledge and participation to whatever level they wish, in a safe and non-critical environment.

To welcome all, regardless of age, ability/disability, ethnicity, race, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status etc.
